Filled with many natural attractions, Virginia vacations offers excitement every time. Across the state, visitors will enjoy natural wonders such as the Lu-ray Caverns, majestic rivers, lakes as well as the open waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Filled with hundreds of parks, there is something to do in every season.

Take a stroll along the coastline of Virginia or sit at the water’s edge and enjoy a cool breeze. From the Eastern Shore to Virginia Beach City, there is plenty for everyone. Right next door to the church are the graves of prominent people from that period. Home to the largest naval base in the America, Nauticus allows onlookers to walk and view inside a real navy ship. While here, visitors can take the ferry across the Elizabeth River into old town Portsmouth.

During the stay in Southeast Virginia, tourist can stop by Mount Trashmore. Once a landfill, it was turned into a family centered fun area with a near by lake and park. It is the perfect spot to watch the night sky light up with fireworks during the Fourth of July festivities. Just a few miles up the road, tourists will enjoy the fresh water of the Atlantic Ocean. Filled with four-star hotels, there are plenty of nightclubs and entertainment venues for everyone.

The bed and breakfast inns have all the charm of old time Virginia. The Speckled Trout bed and breakfast offers an elegant home filled with luxurious bedrooms and four-post beds. There is a variety of activities to while staying here. Each guest can spend the day outside fly-fishing or inside reading about fish.

One of the few states with all four seasons, there is plenty for outdoor lovers. Located in Dulles, minutes from the Washington DC Dulles international airport, the 1757 Golf Club is a 6,600-yard golf course. The golf club is named after the year it opened. The Virginia Marine and Science Museum is home to several exotic species from all over the world. When the weather permits, exhibit guests will enjoy a boat ride through the marshlands. Dedicated to extending the life of animal, several of the museum’s fresh water turtles are over 150 years old.
