What You Need to Know About Car Rental in Copenhagen
by Martin Elmer on Apr.22, 2010, under Travel
It is very easy to rent a car in Copenhagen. All the major car rental agencies are represented in both the airport and in the center of Copenhagen. In Copenhagen you can rent cars from: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. So whoever you prefer (or have special deals with), you can find in Copenhagen.
In Copenhagen Airport all the agencies have car rental in the corridor between Terminal 2 and 3 (the international part of the airport). When you are arriving and have got your luggage, just turn left and walk about 50 meters. Then you will see the car rental agency signs.
Avis, Europcar and Hertz are also represented in Terminal 1, which is the domestic part of the airport. If you want to rent a car from Budget or Sixt, you can just catch the airport bus to Terminal 3. It is free and it only takes a few minutes.
You can also find all of the car rental agencies in the city center. Their offices are all close to the Tivoli Garden, the Main Station, the Town Hall Square and most of the city hotels.
If you normally rent cars in the United States, you will probably be chocked to see the prices in Denmark. But there are ways to find cheap car rental in Copenhagen.
Often the car rental agencies have special weekend offers. Long term rental is often also cheaper. You might find a car for a week for the same price as 4 or 5 days. Another way to get a cheaper car is to prepay it; instead of renting it when you arrive.
You will probably also find the car in Copenhagen smaller than in most other countries (in particular the United States). But the distances to everything in Denmark are short, so you will not need a large car; unless you bring a lot of luggage and your whole family.
But of course it is possible to rent the big cars in Copenhagen. All the major European luxury car companies can be found at the car rental agencies in Copenhagen; including Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. It is also possible to rent both cabriolets (great in the summer) and BMW Mini Coopers (great for easy parking).

An alternator is the base of the charging system of your car. Not only is it integral to all of the electric systems of your car – the radio, the lights, the fan etc. – it also keeps your battery charged. When cars were first built, car manufacturers actually used small generators for their electical systems. Alternators offer more efficient power and they are also safer. When your car alternator fails, so does your car as your battery is completely depleted.

Make sure to have a camera phone or digital camera with you when you pick up the rental car. Take the necessary few minutes to walk around the car with the agency representative and note any damage. Photograph the car from all reasonable angles and have the sales rep sign off on it. People who do not travel frequently might be amazed at how often rental car agencies apply surcharges for small damages.

I agree with Bob W. Try again both have poor service records.
