An Atlanta, Georgia hotel offers an overview of a common summer concert series.

This summer the Atlanta Botanical Garden is hosting a series of Concerts in the Garden. Six concerts were scheduled for June through August. 2 earlier concerts had been sold out, as is the July 30 concert. Tickets remain obtainable for the concerts scheduled for July 25, August 20, and August 27.

The concert on Sunday, July 25 will feature singer-songwriter John Hiatt. Hiatt, who plays guitar and keyboard, has recorded in many different musical genres including folk rock, country, and blues. He is going to be joined by unique guest artist Webb Wilder.

The concert planned for July 30, showcasing folk singer and song writer Joan Baez, has already been sold out. The Friday, August 20 concert will probably be headlined by Delbert McClinton. He sings a blend of country, blues, soul, and rock and roll. Atlanta blues musician Heaven Davis will probably be the unique guest.

The final concert of this summer series will take place on Friday, August 27. Grammy Award winning recording artist Jonny Lang will perform, as part of his “Live by Request” tour. Langis is a singer-songwriter who performs blues, gospel, and rock.

All remaining shows are priced at $36.50 ($33 for Garden members). Tickets are readily available at the Garden Gift Shop with no additional fees or through Ticketmaster. All events are held rain or shine. There are no refunds if extreme weather forces a cancellation. Gates open at 7:00PM. All shows start at 8:00PM. Parking is offered on site inside the SAGE Parking Facility for $7.00.

Ticketholders are welcome to bring blankets to sit on, or lawn chairs no higher than ten inches off the ground. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Complete dinners may possibly be pre-ordered from Sun in my Belly catering. Beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water, and limited menu items will likely be offered throughout the show without pre-ordering.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue NE in midtown, adjacent to Piedmont Park. The 30 acre garden contains formal gardens, a rose garden, Storza Woods, the Fuqua Conservatory, plus the Orchid Center. Its newest additions are the common Canopy Walk, Cascades Garden, plus the Edible Garden. Regular summer hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00AM to 7:00PM.
